A physical representation of the sound.

The first thing I do when I recieve a new Eleh record is not playing it right away, but watching it closely. Eleh’s vinyl records show an interesting physical representation of the Sound. The Sound you see engraved into the wax can be as beautiful as the Sound you hear or, with this particular style of music, feel. The light, sliping on the repetitive waves of sound, gives the illusion of volume. This just can’t happen with any other sort of format. Here are a few exemples. It’s another way of appreciating the music of Eleh.

  1. Bonne remarque.

    1&2 : Radiant Intervals
    3&4 : Floating Frequencies/Intuitive Synthesis Vol II
5: Floating Frequencies/Intuitive Synthesis Vol III

  3. I was just thinking about this very thing when I pulled out my copy of ‘Radiant Intervals’. The patterns are indeed as visually arresting as they are soundwise!
